Joseph Thomas, MD, Dr. Thomas was born in Schenectacy, NY in October 1960. Following graduation from Notre Dame Bishope Gibbons High School, he attended Northwestern University where he earned an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering in 1982. He was commissioned as a Line Officer through the Naval ROTC Scholarship Program. Applying for a transfer to the Medical Corps, he was accepted to the Uniform Services University of the Health Science, F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine, and graduated with a Medical Degree in 1995. He completed a Transitional Internship at the National Naval Medical Center. In 2000, he was accepted to the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency Program at Uniform Services University. He received a Master of Public Health degree in 2001 and completed residency training in 2002. Dr. Thomas was board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine by the American College of Preventive Medicine in January 2003. His experience with Federal Workers Compensation started in 2002 when he served as the Department Head of Occupational Medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville.  He is currently treating federal workers compensation in Tampa at M & R Medical & Therapy Center and is currently the Medical Director for CompMed Cares in Jacksonville, Florida. Currently, he is engaged in occupational medicine consulting and treats injured OWCP / DOL injured federal workers for federal workers compensation, DOT physicals, drug screens and Occupational Medicine at M&R Medical & Therapy Center.

Stephen Taylor, APRN, FNP-C, D.C. Dr. Taylor is a national OWCP – DOL expert consultant for federal workers’ compensation utilization review, billing & compliance. Over the past 26 years, Dr. Taylor has built a national reputation as a go-to advisor for hospitals, outpatient clinics, physical therapy clinics, business owners, medical providers, healthcare executives, and billing departments for healthcare practice management and compliance with a particular focus on Federal Workers Compensation, medical utilization, healthcare compliance and assisting with disputed and closed cases. Dr. Taylor’s has a vast and substantial consulting experience in the fields of medical, chiropractic, nursing, and physical therapy that includes comprehensive practice management consultation, utilization review, medical necessity assessments, pre-authorization, and documentation of medical necessity. Dr. Taylor has helped hundreds and hundreds of OWCP cases that were denied, closed, consequential injuries, authorizations, and approvals of cases for surgeries, treatments, and scheduled awards for over two decades. Dr. Stephen Taylor is trained as a utilization review registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, family nurse practitioner as well as a chiropractic physician. He is the Chief Operating Officer for SMT Consultants, TEC Consulting and Managing Partner of DEA Medical Consultants

Danielle Martin, D.O.M Dr. Martin is a doctor of oriental medicine and is an acupuncture physician with a degree from East West College of Natural Medicine. She also has a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the University of Bridgeport. She is board certified by the NCCAOM and nationally certified in Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy. She has been studying and practicing alternative medicine for over 8 years. In acupuncture therapy she specializes in pain management, stress reduction, GI issues, menstrual conditions, arthritis, allergies and weight loss. With acupuncture point injection therapy, she specializes in weight loss, immune support and pain management.

James Zaccari, D.O.,  Dr. James Zaccari has been practicing medicine in Florida for over 20 years. Dr. Zaccari graduated from Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Here at M&R Therapy Center Inc., Dr. Zaccari serves as our assigned Medical Director for our auto accident and personal injury patients.

Dipti Patel, D.C. Dr. Dipti Patel holds her Chiropractic Physician license in the State of Florida. She specializes in treating patients who have pain from their auto accident or personal injury in the Tampa Bay Area. She started her career in chiropractic medicine seventeen years ago in New York City, after graduating from Life University of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. Dr. Patel is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.

Tim Dorion, DPT Tim Dorion is a physical therapist that grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated with a masters degree from Florida State University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine-Health Sciences. He has practiced PT in Australia, New Zealand, and in the United States including Colorado, Hawaii, South Carolina and most recently in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Dorion currently works with M & R Therapy Center treating federal workers. Tim is also a professor who worked with The Technical College of the Low Country in the PTA program. His motto is “work with what you have, to improve towards what you can achieve.” Each person is unique, and Dr. Dorion strives to make each program individualized for them. He looks forward to working with all patients and their challenges.
